Jacksonville, 14 September 2015
Macquarie Group – a global provider of financial, advisory, investment and funds management services – today announced the Riverplace Tower building, located at 1301 Riverplace Boulevard, as the location for its new Jacksonville operations. Concurrently, Macquarie has started to recruit for new employees and will initially place more than 85 accounting, finance and tax positions in Jacksonville.
On July 30, 2015, Macquarie announced its intention to establish a Global Finance Services center in downtown Jacksonville to enhance its finance capabilities and to further facilitate the growth of its U.S. business. Macquarie will recruit for finance roles, including positions in the areas of financial control, product control, tax reporting, regulatory reporting and legal entity control activities. Potential candidates can visit macquarie.com/jax to learn more about the firm’s Jacksonville office and to apply online.
“We are excited to begin creating our new office in the Riverplace Tower and to start recruiting new staff members to join our team in Jacksonville,” said Michael P. McLaughlin, U.S. Country Head for Macquarie Group. “Northeast Florida has a very strong labor pool, and we look forward to interviewing candidates to build our team as we grow our presence in this community.”
McLaughlin added, “Macquarie embraces a dynamic, open and collaborative culture, and our work space is a reflection of that philosophy. The Jacksonville offices will follow our internationally-recognized, innovative approach to the work place, which focuses on creating a sense of community in the workplace through active, flexible spaces.”
Centrally located on Jacksonville’s scenic Southbank, the Riverplace Tower offices offer a variety of amenities that will support Macquarie’s innovative culture and its collaborative work environment. These include a fitness center, a bank, an onsite childcare facility, and an outdoor area with seating. The close proximity to the Southbank Riverwalk and Friendship Fountain represented another attractive feature of the location.
For its Jacksonville office, Macquarie is primarily seeking accountants or individuals with a background in finance, tax and product control across all levels. To support new employees, the firm provides extensive training programs designed to assist individuals in learning the specifics of Macquarie’s systems, processes and services.
