Overview

With effect from 7th September 2026 or such later day as notified to you by Macquarie (the “Effective Date”), Macquarie will be moving its client facing cash equities services in Asia Pacific region to Macquarie Capital Global Equities Pty Limited (‘MCGE’), an Australian Proprietary Company incorporated on 22 August 2007. With the exception of ANZ and ID markets, MCGE will be entity you are onboarded to and place your orders with. Macquarie Securities (Australia) Limited (‘MSAL’) will remain your service provider for Australia and New Zealand market transactions only. New Zealand domiciled clients will continue to face Macquarie Securities (NZ) Limited (‘MSNZ’) for domestic market transactions.

Other than the change of legal entity, there will be no material change to the service you receive from Macquarie. Commission rates will remain unchanged, and you will continue to deal with the same people, and receive the same high standard of research, sales and execution services from Macquarie throughout the region.

In order for Macquarie to continue to provide relevant services to your organisation, we request that your organisation:

  1. review and accept MCGE’s Terms of Business, the amended MSAL’s Terms of Business (to be applicable to Australia and New Zealand market transactions only) and the consequential amendments to the additional terms for trading China Connect Securities (if applicable); and   
  2. consent to the sharing of your organisation data and your organisation officers’ and employees’ personal data currently kept by MSAL to MCGE and its affiliates.  

Note that the MCGE Terms are substantially similar to the existing MSAL Terms. If you have any questions on the MCGE Terms, the amended MSAL Terms, other changes or the transfer of data, please contact us by return email as soon as possible and in any event prior to the Effective Date. If your organisation has not acknowledged the new terms but continue to trade with us after the Effective Date, we may, subject to applicable law and regulation, be able to deem such continued trading to be your organisation’s consent to the items set out above.

If you do not have authority to confirm for and on behalf of your organisation, please discuss internally and bring this to the attention of the relevant individuals who have authority to approve. As part of an ongoing review of our operating model, we are implementing an internal legal entity restructure designed to further align our client arrangements with our broader group structure and long-term strategic objectives.

This change is administrative in nature and is intended to simplify our operating model while maintaining the high level of service and support you currently receive.  

Yes, though in a limited capacity. You will continue to face MSAL only for Australia and New Zealand market trades after the Effective Date.   

Yes. There will be no change to the way your relationship with Macquarie is managed. All our front, middle and back office contact points will remain unchanged.

Yes. Macquarie will continue to offer the same extensive range of products and solutions to its clients.

You are strongly encouraged to review the new terms as soon as possible. If you have any questions on the terms, please let us know as soon as possible; otherwise, please accept the terms by clicking the acceptance button because that would help both of us to keep proper audit trail of this change. If local law and regulation allow, we may be able to treat your continuous trading as a consent by conduct. However, in some limited circumstances, we may not be able to trade with you if you do not respond.  

Anyone who has the authority to agree to enter into brokerage arrangement within your organisation. If you are not the right recipient, please forward the communication to the right people within your organisation immediately.

Similar to MSAL, MCGE itself does not hold a credit rating though its penultimate parent Macquarie Financial Limited(‘MFL’) and ultimate parent Macquarie Group Limited (‘MGL’) each carries a Standard & Poor’s Long Term rating of BBB+. For more financial information on MFL and MGL please click here

No, MSAL will remain the aggregator and your contracting party to the Commission Sharing Agreement and will act for and on behalf of any Macquarie entity that you trade through, including MCGE. Any Macquarie entity may arrange for the payment to your provider.  

Upon receiving your consent to the sharing of data currently held by MSAL, MCGE will have access to client and personal data in order to fulfill its know-your-client obligations. MCGE is subject to Macquarie’s privacy policy and your data would be kept within Macquarie in the same manner unless we notify you otherwise.  

Operations

No. This will not be affected.

Yes. Updated settlement instructions will be distributed prior to the Effective Date.

These two markets are ID markets, and clients who trade direct on their own ID will continue to face our onshore brokerage entities in these markets.
