Our teams in Macquarie Asset Management:

Shifting demographics, urbanisation, and emerging technology are reshaping the real estate sector at an unprecedented speed. That is why our team looks beyond the current market cycle, capitalising on long-term trends impacting the world’s largest asset class to create investment opportunities for our partners and clients around the world.

Your role as an Intern in Macquarie Asset Management's Real Estate Team will see you working on our real estate investments across Europe, helping to invest and manage assets that are meeting the demands of growing cities – providing thriving workplaces, modern living environments and optimised supply chains. You will be given the opportunity to help shape the future direction of our investments – working on projects and research relating to existing and targeted assets and assisting with acquisitions through detailed valuation analysis and due diligence.

Your role as an Intern in one of our infrastructure teams will see you working on Macquarie Asset Management’s infrastructure assets across Europe, helping to manage and invest in companies that underpin communities, economies, and supply chains.

Relied on by over 100 million people around the world each day, our diverse portfolio includes investments in green infrastructure like wind farms and solar farms, road networks connecting communities, airports serving major cities, essential utility networks and telecommunications infrastructure.

The Green Investment Group (GIG) is a specialist green investor within Macquarie Asset Management. GIG is a global leader in the development of companies, assets and technologies that aim to accelerate the global transition to net zero. The business has grown to become one of the world’s largest green investors with a development pipeline of more than 30 GW in over 25 markets, spanning established renewables and emerging green technologies.

As an Intern, you will contribute to the critical role our team plays in the Macquarie Asset Management value proposition, which involves developing new products, raising capital from investors, and managing relationships with Macquarie Asset Management’s existing client base.

Together with the rest of the team, you will work with senior relationship managers and product specialists to support Macquarie Asset Management's global fundraising efforts by building a strong understanding of our platform and business model, as well as the track record and strategy of its managed funds and the underlying assets. You can expect to deliver investor reporting and updates, and develop market analysis to attract new clients to the business. You will benefit from broad exposure to sectors such as infrastructure and renewable energy, as well as other alternatives, such as real estate, private credit and agriculture.

The Technology and Innovation team provides the Macquarie Asset Management’s decision makers with an outlook of how emerging technology trends are likely to affect our business. The team provides thought leadership and expertise through independent investigations of technology sectors undergoing transformation, such as the electrification of vehicles, the energy transition, or digitalisation.

In this role, you will acquire the expertise to support the transaction teams during the asset due diligence process, whilst also identifying technological risks and opportunities during the asset lifecycle to optimise asset value and performance by supporting the implementation of the latest technologies.
