Houston, TX, 21 July 2025
Macquarie Group today announced a $US500,000 donation to support relief and recovery efforts following the recent floods across Central Texas. This philanthropic contribution will support Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR), a professionally trained volunteer, first responder organization that deploys throughout the state of Texas, and the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which is supporting urgent relief and long-term rebuilding following the devastating floods of July 4.
“We are heartbroken by the catastrophic flooding that struck Central Texas and the devastating impact it’s had on the broader community,” said Tim Bourn, Head of Macquarie’s Houston office. “During this time of disaster, it’s been incredible to see the contributions from our staff in supporting organizations providing resources to impacted communities. Many of our colleagues have friends or family impacted by this tragedy. We all join in sharing our thoughts and condolences at this incredibly difficult time.”
In addition to the $US500,000 donation, Macquarie staff have donated more than $US26,000 to date, inclusive of matching from the Macquarie Group Foundation, towards various local community organizations working to support those affected.
