Macquarie Asset Management launches dedicated infrastructure education offering for wealth advisers

New York, 08 October 2026

  • New program brings together infrastructure education, proprietary research and insights to help advisers navigate the growing private infrastructure asset class
  • The first instalment, Inside Infrastructure: Charting the Asset Class, analyses proprietary data from Macquarie’s decades of infrastructure investing experience and highlights digitalisation, decarbonisation, demographics and deglobalisation as four structural forces shaping long-term infrastructure demand

Macquarie Asset Management (“MAM”) today announced the launch of our dedicated education program for wealth advisers focused on private infrastructure to deepen their understanding of the asset class and its role in client portfolios. The program’s first instalment, Inside Infrastructure: Charting the Asset Class, is a research-led chartbook that analyses proprietary data from Macquarie’s decades of infrastructure investing experience.

The program brings together educational content, proprietary research and perspectives from Macquarie Asset Management’s infrastructure specialists in a platform tailored for the wealth market. The launch of this educational program comes as more qualified individual investors seek direct exposure to institutional-grade infrastructure investment opportunities and wealth advisers increasingly need resources to evaluate the asset class. Content will range from infrastructure fundamentals to more advanced topics, including the role of infrastructure in portfolio diversification, infrastructure’s response to inflation, the current market environment and potential opportunities it presents for infrastructure investors. The program is designed to accommodate both introductory and sophisticated audiences and will use a mix of digital content, videos, webinars and other educational formats.

“Advisers are looking for tools to help evaluate private market opportunities and understand where they fit within a client's broader portfolio,” said Kimberly LaPointe, Head of Global Wealth at Macquarie Asset Management. “This program brings our depth of experience, research and investment perspectives together in one place, and our first instalment, Inside Infrastructure: Charting the Asset Class, gives advisers a data-driven foundation to help inform decision making. Our goal is to equip them with the knowledge and understanding to have deeper conversations with clients.”

The first instalment, Inside Infrastructure: Charting the Asset Class, examines how private infrastructure has historically performed across different economic and market environments. Drawing in part on MAM’s proprietary data, spanning transport, utilities and energy, social and digital infrastructure, renewables, waste and recycling, the research explores infrastructure’s potential role in portfolio construction, historical resilience during periods of market stress, its relationship with inflation, structural drivers of growth and the current valuation environment. The research highlights digitalisation, decarbonisation, demographics and deglobalisation as four structural forces shaping long-term infrastructure demand.

The initiative forms part of MAM’s broader effort to bring its institutional infrastructure expertise to the global wealth market. MAM is a global leader in infrastructure investing and has partnered with global wealth managers to deliver solutions tailored to the needs of wealth investors. These strategies aim to enhance diversification and return potential, drawing on the same value creation approach used across MAM’s institutional offerings.1
