Macquarie Securities appoints Matthew Turner as Precious Metals Analyst

Macquarie Securities has appointed Matthew Turner as Precious Metals Analyst within its global Commodities Research team based in London. Mr Turner joins Macquarie from Mitsubishi Corporation where he was the Global Precious Metals Strategist.

Macquarie’s first dedicated Precious Metals Analyst, Mr Turner joins a team of eight professionals, including three based in China, who between them cover base metals, precious metals, bulk commodities and specialty metals. Reporting to Colin Hamilton, Global Head of Commodities Research, Matthew will expand and enhance Macquarie’s coverage of precious metals, leading coverage on gold, silver, platinum, palladium and uranium.

Mr Turner previously worked at VM Group (Virtual Metals Research & Consulting), the World Gold Council and The Economist. He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford, with a BA Hons in PPE.
