Macquarie expands European portfolio solutions offering with senior appointments in transition management

- Senior appointments to meet increasing client demand for transition management, implementation and execution services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Macquarie Group ("Macquarie") (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY) today announced it has expanded its Portfolio Solutions team in London with the appointment of two senior transition management professionals in its Commodities and Global Markets group.
Paul McGee joins Macquarie as a Senior Vice President. Mr. McGee has extensive experience in transition management, having spent 12 years at State Street Global Markets, most recently as Head of Transition Management & Exposure Solutions (EMEA). In this position he was responsible for a team managing portfolio assignments for Corporate Pension Schemes, Local Authorities, Government entities, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Multi-Managers. After departing State Street in 2016, Mr. McGee joins Macquarie having spent two years as a Transition Management Consultant, acting for Coutts & Co. and most recently M&G Investments.
Ben Mooney has over 20 years’ experience and joins Macquarie as a Vice President. Mr. Mooney joins from State Street Global Markets’ Portfolio Solutions team in London where he was a Senior Transition Manager for seven years, responsible for managing multi asset-class client transitions. Prior to this, he was at Wellington Management International Ltd., as a Director and Client Operations Manager. Mr. Mooney has also previously worked for Royal Bank of Canada and HSBC.

The appointments of Mr. McGee and Mr. Mooney follow the recent announcement of Macquarie as a service provider to the National LGPS Framework for Transition Management and Implementation Services and Transition Execution Services.
