Opened in 1928, 50 Martin Place was Sydney’s tallest building at the time at 12 storeys high. In 2014 it was transformed into Macquarie’s global headquarters. The historical building has a modern iconic orange staircase and open atrium. Its onsite café offers a place for our employees to meet, encouraging teamwork, cross group collaboration and our innovative and entrepreneurial culture.
Home to our technology hub, 1 Martin Place, Sydney is located in the iconic GPO building. This workspace features a striking purple interconnecting feature staircase, a large cinema space and versatile collaboration zones – all designed to encourage teams to be innovative, think laterally and execute with agility.
Home to our retail bank, Shelley Street, Sydney features an innovative external ‘diagrid’ structure, which eliminates the need for perimeter columns and maximises the internal floor space. The light-filled interior design features an eight-storey high central atrium and consists of meeting room pods that project into the open space.
