As commodities continue to underpin the building of our cities, global energy needs grow, and technology continues to change the world, our Commodities and Global Markets Group serve a diverse client base across numerous markets. 

What you can expect

In Commodities and Global Markets, you will partner with our clients to provide tailored solutions that maximise opportunities in global markets, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, technology, media and telecoms. 

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment:

  • developing your knowledge of market dynamics

  • tailoring innovative products and solutions for clients 

  • producing fundamental market analysis and research

  • engaging with clients.

Our teams in Commodities and Global Markets

Our Central team fosters and develops various non-division specific, early stage or cross-divisional initiatives. Our Central Risk team provides businesses globally with pricing and risk management assistance, and an independent view on how risk is managed and represented in trading systems.

Our Commodity Markets and Finance team provides risk management, lending and financing, and physical execution and logistics services across the energy, metals and agricultural sectors globally. The division also offers commodity-based index products to institutional investors.

Our Equity Derivatives and Trading team focuses on the distribution of Asian, Australian and South African equity derivative products to global customers, with market leading single stock capacity. Our coverage includes warrants, and tailored equity solutions and trading expertise, for corporate and high net worth clients.

Our Fixed Income and Currencies team provides currency and fixed income trading and hedging services to a range of corporate and institutional clients globally, and have been a leading provider of foreign exchange transactional services for more than 20 years. 

Our Futures team provides a full range of execution, clearing and financing solutions to corporate and institutional clients, providing continuous 24-hour coverage of all major markets globally. The division has specialist expertise in energy, freight, grains and soft commodities as well as a market leading position in Australian interest rate products.

Our Specialised and Asset Finance team is a global provider of specialist finance and asset management solutions. Our expertise enables us to develop innovative finance solutions across a range of industries around the globe.
