Macquarie makes senior U.S. equities distribution and trading appointments

Macquarie Securities, the institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group (“Macquarie”) (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY), today announced two appointments in its US equities sales and trading business.

Joseph “JT” Cacciabaudo will join as a Managing Director overseeing Macquarie Securities’ US execution platform, including its sales trading and trading effort. With more than 22 years of industry experience, he joins from Sterne Agee, where he was head of equity trading and institutional options. He previously served as Co-Head of US Cash Equity Trading at Citigroup and has a track record of success in building and managing equity desks for both global and medium-sized firms.

Peter McQuaid will join as a Vice President in equities trading. Mr. McQuaid has more than 22 years experience and brings specific knowledge in the industrial and energy sectors, together with key institutional relationships. He was most recently at Sterne Agee, where he was Head Trader, and he has held senior trading roles at Jefferies and Credit Suisse.
