Macquarie Investment Management appoints Austin McBride as Head of UK Wholesale

Macquarie Investment Management (MIM), part of the investment management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Austin McBride as Head of UK Wholesale, based in London.
Austin joins Macquarie from Ignis Asset Management, where he was most recently Head of UK Wholesale. Prior to this, Austin held senior positions at Lazard Asset Management, Janus International Ltd and Henderson Global Investors.
Steve Haswell, Head of Distribution for MIM EMEA, commented: “Austin is highly respected in the UK market and brings a wealth of experience to MIM, having spent more than 20 years in asset management sales and relationship management.
“Building on the significant momentum MIM has in the EMEA market, Austin will focus on growing Macquarie’s presence with the professional buyer market in the UK and will complement our efforts in the UK institutional and consultant spaces,” said Steve.
