Macquarie Bank named Major Lender of the Year – six years in a row

Macquarie Bank has been named ‘Major Lender of the Year’ for the sixth year in a row by the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).  

The MFAA is the peak national body for Australia’s professional mortgage and finance brokers, mortgage managers and aggregators. Its National Excellence Awards recognises Australia’s best banks, brokers and other industry professionals who are helping to unlock greater competition and choice for Australian households as they buy or refinance their home.

In addition to being recognised at a national level, Macquarie Bank was also named Major Lender of the Year at awards held by the MFAA across every state and territory in recent weeks. These accolades were awarded by an expert independent panel of judges based on industry best practices, customer service excellence, and overall business performance.

As the lending environment continues to evolve, we are focused on delivering the simple, fast and secure solutions brokers need to confidently deliver better outcomes for their customers.”

Macquarie has grown to become Australia’s fifth largest household lender by expanding its share of loans generated by the growing broker industry. Around 95% of all Macquarie home loans are originated by brokers, with the bank continuing to invest heavily in dedicated support and technology for mortgage brokers and their customers.  

Last week, Macquarie launched a nationwide advertising campaign doubling down on its support for the broker industry. The ‘Built for brokers, loved by customers’ campaign   encourages homebuyers and homeowners to speak to one of the country’s more than 22,000 mortgage brokers about a Macquarie home loan.
