Our teams in Group Treasury

The Liquidity/GT Markets team is responsible for managing the Group’s cash, liquid assets, collateral, and short-term funding in the most efficient way. The team develops internal liquidity frameworks, interprets regulatory requirements and monitors compliance.

They also provide market access capabilities to execute our liquidity management and hedge market risk exposures across our entities.

The Funding team is responsible for the management and execution of the Group’s debt issuance, its relationships with banking counterparties and the pricing of funding to the Operating Groups. They access global capital markets, engaging with debt investors and banks to ensure we have an appropriate, diversified and a conservative mix of funding.

They are also responsible for managing the periodic updating of global funding programmes and facilities, working with the businesses to develop appropriate funding sources and allocation of funding where it is required.

The Capital team is responsible for management of the Group’s capital position and credit ratings. The team develops frameworks to determine the appropriate amount and mix of capital, taking into account regulatory, ratings agency, debt investor and shareholder expectations; and recommends and executes on capital actions.

The team works closely with the businesses to understand the drivers of their capital footprint and to support their growth.

The Transactions and Structure team develops and manages the Group’s corporate and intercompany capital and funding structure. The team partners with the Funding and Capital teams on the execution of various debt and equity funding opportunities for the Group, and provides structuring support for large scale principal transactions.

The team thinks broadly about potential commercial, regulatory, accounting and tax implications in undertaking its structuring and transactional functions.

RRAP delivers quality capital and liquidity information to fulfill regulatory reporting obligations and liquidity/capital management, under a robust risk management framework. The team enables a strong and efficient balance sheet through support and transformation of processes, data, systems and analytics.

Group FP&A provides strategic analysis and advice to Macquarie’s operating groups and senior management. They are responsible for projections of capital, funding and P&L, as well as Group and Corporate FP&A reporting. 

The Finance Division provides financial management and control, regulatory reporting and business advisory services. In addition to centralised corporate functions such as Corporate Reporting, Legal Entity Control and Tax Compliance, the division has dedicated teams providing support to each operating group.

The Taxation Division provides taxation support to all areas of Macquarie, managing relationships with revenue authorities worldwide and ensuring compliance with taxation legislation.

The Office of the CFO supports the CFO by developing and implementing Macquarie’s operational risk management framework.

Corporate Affairs actively engages with stakeholders to protect Macquarie’s reputation and promote our brand globally. The division articulates what Macquarie does, who we are and why this matters to our internal and external audiences.

The FMG Central team supports all FMG functions globally and has responsibility for data and transformation, projects and change, FMG communications and learning and development.
