Our grant partners3 are community organisations enjoying a strong relationship with Macquarie Group staff, deepened by additional program funding from the Macquarie Group Foundation. Many of these organisations receive staff fundraising and pro bono support.

Asia grant partners
A Better Chance Foundation ABC provides financial assistance to economically challenged but motivated children to receive schooling. Our grant covers ongoing high school education for 45 students. Agrasar Agrasar implements high-impact skill programs that help disadvantaged, migrant youth lead more meaningful and dignified lives. Our grant supports one centre in Kapersera, Gurugram, as well as a community radio program that connects to youth in hamlets within 10 kms around Gurgaon City. Asian Charity Services ACS provide pro bono business consulting services to Hong Kong-based charities, to help them operate more effectively and better serve their communities. Our grant is funding the creation of a new training module, enabling charities to better communicate to their stakeholders. Fair Employment Foundation FEF seeks to positively change the system of recruitment and hiring of migrant labour throughout Asia. Our grant is funding awareness raising around ethical hiring of domestic workers. Food From The Heart Food from the Heart is a food redistribution organisation in Singapore. Our grant funded the expansion of one of its bread distribution programs. Hagar International Hagar works with women and children who have suffered severe human rights abuses. Our grant is supporting the transition and reintegration of its clients back into family and community life. Haribon Foundation Haribon advocates for biodiversity conservation by training people to achieve this in their community, and conducting research. Our grant is funding an eco-volunteer facility on the outskirts of Manila. Justice Centre Hong Kong Justice Centre works to protect the rights of Hong Kong's most vulnerable migrants through advocacy and direct legal and social assistance. Our grant is helping Justice Centre focus its efforts on human trafficking and forced labour. Kherwadi Social Welfare Association KSWA focuses on vocational training for people who have not finished high school. Our grant supports one centre in Adilabad, a remote town city near Hyderabad. Lend A Hand India LAHI's program complements existing secondary school curricula with employment-related skills. Our grant is supporting a three-year pilot to enhance its program for students across 20 schools in Mumbai and Pune). Magic Bus India Foundation MB builds life-skills in adoloscents both in and outside of the education system to assist with educational attainment and employment. Our grant supports one community centre and 20 schools in Bhiwandi, a semi-rural area near Mumbai. Mitra Technology Foundation MTF facilitates individuals and corporate employees to volunteer in different ways with NGOs across India. Our grant is supporting its iVolunteer initiative to identify emerging and best-practice models of volunteering. Mother's Choice Mother’s Choice serves children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. Out grant is funding an overhaul of its IT systems, in both hardware and software. New Resolution India NRI runs livelihood programs in community centres (called Bright Future) with youth in Mumbai slums. Our grant supports two Bright Future centres in Mumbai. Bright Futures is also supported by another Macquarie partner, Princes Trust International, which is piloting its 'Get Into' model in Mumbai. PathFinders PathFinders supports children born to migrant domestic workers, by providing protection, counselling, shelter, food, and access to health, education and legal support. Its CEO Kay McArdle is Macquarie's 2016 Hong Kong David Clarke Social Innovation Fellow; our funding is helping investigate the introduction of legal advice to no or low-income people in HK. Safe Water Network India SWN works alongside communities in Ghana and India, providing people with daily access to safe water. Our grant is supporting SWNI's set-up of three solar water treatment facilities in India. Seefar Seefar works to facilitate more opportunities for vulnerable people to advance themselves. Our grant funded a research report about the issue of modern slavery in East Asia. Visayan Forum Foundation VF works to address human trafficking, particularly the exploitation of domestic workers. Our grant supports community education and business programs to help mitigate the risk of this form of modern slavery.
ANZ grant partners
Akina Foundation Akina supports ideas driving positive social or environmental change through social enterprise. Our grant is helping grow Akina's impact investing. Ardoch Foundation Ardoch provides education support for children and young people in disadvantaged communities. Our grant supports staff to take part in Ardoch's Literacty Buddies volunteering program where they exchange letters with young people. Aurora Project Aurora supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' aspirations and achievements. Our grant is supporting Aurora's Indigenous Scholarships website and single scholarship application project, and The Aspiration Initiative more broadly. Australian Brandenburg Orchestra The ABO specialises in the performance of baroque and classical music. Our grant supported the expansion of its touring program to a greater number of Australian cities. Australian Wildlife Conservancy AWC conserves native animal species and the habitats in which they live through land sanctuaries and land management. Our grant is helping increase the ecological return on investment in national park management. Batyr Batyr focuses on preventative education in the area of youth mental health. Our grant supports Batyr's mental health awareness programme at the University of South Australia. Can Too Foundation Can Too Foundation supports the research, prevention, care and control of cancer. Our grant provides capacity building support for Can Too Foundation in its establishment phase as a new, independent entity. Canberra Symphony Orchestra Canberra Symphony Orchestra is the largest performing arts organisation in the ACT. Our grant supported the Noteworthy concert series which provided children in the ACT region with free access to music education and supported teachers through professional development. Cancer Australia Cancer Australia is a national government agency working to reduce the impact of cancer on all Australians. Our grant supports the Pink Ribbon Breakfast which is held on Pink Ribbon Day during Breast Cancer Awareness Month each year. Centre for Independent Studies‚ CIS issues fact-based practical research and encourages/provokes debate on liberty, the rule of law, free enterprise and an efficient democratic government. Our grants support 'The Prosperity Project' (an Indigenous research program) and 'Five from Five' (a literacy research program). Centre for Social Impact (UNSW) CSI works to improve the delivery of social impact programs in Australia through research, teaching, measurement and public debate. Our grant is supporting an update of 'The Compass', CSI’s guide to navigating social outcomes and impact measurement; as well as a research project looking at the role of youth mentoring in wellbeing, economic engagement and supportive communities for young people. Community Foundation For Central Victoria CFCV supports and promotes regional philanthropy. CEO Ann Lansberry was awarded Macquarie's Australian David Clarke Fellowship in 2016; our funding is helping to investigate and manage risks around collaborative online ‘Giving Days’ in the US, where local community organisations join forces to raise money. Documentary Australia Foundation DAF brings philanthropists and filmmakers together to create social change. Our grant supported DAF to measure the impact of documentary and embed evaluation in the organisational process. FAUNA Research Alliance FAUNA RA draws together the skills and capacity of individuals, communities and organisations to future-proof Australasia’s unique native animals. Our grant is providing seed funding to support FAUNA Research Alliance to establish itself as the backbone organisation for the wildlife biodiversity sector. Financial Markets Foundation for Children‚ FMFC works to improve the health, welfare and well-being of Australian children. Our grant is used to fund research programs and other projects to support this work. Fogarty Foundation Fogarty pilots new models in education for improved educational outcomes. Fogarty won Macquarie's Social Innovation Award in 2014 to scale its EDvance program, which provides principals working in low-SES schools with leadership and management skills. Good to Great Schools Good to Great Schools supports schools in rural and remote communities across Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland to improve educational outcomes. Our grant is providing capacity building funding to help scale Good to Great Schools' work. Hayden Reynolds Tiwi Garden Project Tiwi College offers quality secondary education to all Tiwi young people. Our grant is funding work experience and employment opportunities and healthy eating for College students. Hello Sunday Morning Hello Sunday Morning is a movement towards a better drinking culture. Hello Sunday Morning were the winners of Macquarie's Social Innovation Award in 2015; our funding is helping develop a cost and time-efficient digital model of screening and intervention for risky drinkers in hospitals and the wider alcohol treatment sector. Jawun Jawun forms partnerships to benefit corporate, government and Indigenous Australia. Our grant provides capacity building support for Jawun's activities in the East Kimberly region of Australia. JDRF Australia JDRF Australia's funds research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications. Our grant supports the JDRF Macquarie Group Foundation Future Research Leaders Program which is developing type 1 diabetes research leaders for the next generation. KidsXpress KidsXpress helps children impacted by trauma through the use expressive therapy. Our grant is supporting KidsXpress' expansion into Greater Western Sydney. Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia funds and coordinates MS research in Australia. Our grant supports a Senior Researcher and Practitioner Fellowship who will collaborate on research and the translation of this research into direct clinical practice. National Indigenous Culinary Institute NICI offers training and experience for aspiring Indigenous chefs under the culinary guardianship of some of Australia’s top restauranteurs. Our grant supports an Indigenous trainee chef gain experience and qualifications. Opportunity International Australia OIA provides socially focused microfinance for families in more than 20 countries around the world. Our grant supports 'Social Performance Management', a tool which assists with data collection, analysis and reporting to help ensure funding is going where it is needed most. ReachOut.com ReachOut works with young people and experts to deliver mental health services online. Our grant is supporting the evaluation of ReachOut.com to increase its capacity and deliver effective youth mental health services across Australia. Neuroscience Research Australia NeuRA is a research institute helping prevent and cure disease and disability of the brain and nervous system. Our grant is supporting the Macquarie Group Foundation Chair of Schizophrenia Research. SEFA Partnerships SEFA Partnerships works with social purpose organisations to improve their capacity and work amongst disadvantaged communities and people in Australia. Our grant suppports Kickstarter, a business planning mentoring and small grants program for early stage social ventures. Skin and Cancer Foundations of Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland Our grant seed funded the three Australian Skin Cancer Foundations to promote dermatology education programs online and expand GPs' dermatological knowledge. St John's Ambulance St John Ambulance Australia helps people in sickness, distress, suffering or danger. Our grant is supporting the expansion of the Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation's Safe Space program, operated by St John's Ambulance, to Darlinghurst/Kings Cross, helping to keep Sydney's streets safer. Social Ventures Australia SVA works to improve the lives of people in need by offering funding, investment, and advice to support organisations to increase their social impact. Our grant is supporting SVA to strengthen the social impact bond market in Australia. The Big Issue The Big Issue magazine is a fortnightly magazine sold on the streets by homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged people. Our grant supports The Big Issue to host a Big Shift event in support of the Women’s Subscription Enterprise, creating work opportunities for vulnerable women who do not feel safe selling the magazine on the streets. The Funding Network Australia TFN facilitates giving through live crowdfunding events. Our capacity building grant is employing a pitch coaching manager who will increase the number of non-profits accessing TFN’s services. The Song Room The Song Room uses a range of programs to help give children across Australia access to music and creative arts education. Our grant is seed funding The Song Room's ARTS:LIVE social enterprise initiative, which aims to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged Australian children. Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation TKYF works to foster a responsible drinking culture, reducing alcohol and drug-related violence and anti-social behaviour. Our grant is helping expand TKYF's Safe Space and TAKE Care Ambassadors program, assisting vulnerable youth to get home safely.
EMEA grant partners
Dallaglio RugbyWorks Dallaglio RugbyWorks is a long-term skills development programme based on rugby, which aims to help teenagers outside of mainstream education into sustained education, employment or training. Our grant supports the RugbyWorks programme in London-based schools. East London Business Alliance ELBA builds connections between businesses and local communities, bringing the private sector and the community sector together. Our membership enables Macquarie to collaborate with other businesses; working in local schools and with non-profits across London. Islington Giving Islington Giving is an independent group of funders, businesses, residents and voluntary organisations working together to tackle poverty and inequality in Islington. Macquarie is the founding funder of the BIG Alliance (Businesses for Islington Giving). Kinship Care Kinship Care supports children and carers in Northern Ireland providing support services in Derry, Londonderry, Antrim and Magherafelt. Its CEO, Jacqueline Williamson is the 2016 Macquarie David Clarke Fellow for the UK, and our funding is helping Jacqueline travel to the US to learn more about how other communities develop the Kinship model. Leadership Through Sport and Business LTSB provides school leavers from disadvantaged backgrounds access to careers in accounting, business and finance. Our grant forms LTSB's principal corporate funding. ReachOut ReachOut helps change the lives of young people from disadvantaged communities in London and Manchester through one-to-one mentoring. Our grant supports ReachOut's academy and mentoring programme. Streetwise Opera Streetwise Opera uses the creative arts to help people with experience of homelessness make positive changes. Streetwise set up the Global International Arts and Homelessness Movement - With One Voice, for which we are its principal partner. The Funding Network UK TFN's live crowdfunding events provide an opportunity for people to come together with a philanthropic purpose to support causes they care about. Our grant supports the roll out of partnerships with universities and other organisations using crowdfunding to access projects to support The Prince's Trust The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 13 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. Our grant funds the Prince's Trust Macquarie Youth Index.
Americas grant partners
America Needs You America Needs You supports economic mobility for ambitious, low-income college students by providing intensive career development, mentorship, networking and holistic support. Our grant is supporting ANY's national expansion in the US. Carter Burden Network Carter Burden Network promotes the well-being of people aged 60 and older through a continuum of services, advocacy and volunteer programs in NYC oriented to individual, family and community needs. Our grant supports the Carter Burden Gallery, designed to give a voice to NYC"s re-emerging older professional artists. Cristo Rey Cristo Rey is one of the few private schools in Greater Houston that exclusively serve low-income students. Our grant supported a work-study partnership with the school that helps offset tuition fees for promising students. La Casa Norte La Casa Norte's serves Chicago's youth and families facing homelessness. Our grant helped fund a new housing and health center project. Double Discovery Center The Double Discovery Center at Columbia College works with low-income and first-generation college-bound Manhattan area youth to ensure high school graduation, college enrolment and completion and responsible adulthood. Our grant funded college tours for low-income students. Older Adults Technology Service OATS harnesses technology to change the way we age. Our grant supported the creation of Senior Planet U, an online learning platform for seniors to engage with technology to improve their health, civic participation and financial literacy. Its CEO, Tom Kamber, was also the recipient of our US David Clarke Social Innovation Fellowship in 2016. Sheltering Arms Sheltering Arms strengthens the education, wellbeing, and development of high-need children, adults, and families across the New York metro area. Our grant is funding the Fatherhood Connection program, which re-engages fathers in the lives of children attending early childhood education programs at Sheltering Arms. The Global FoodBanking Network The Global FoodBanking Network works to address world hunger by creating, supporting and strengthening food banks in countries outside of the US. Our grant supported the creation of a e-learning platform for GFN. The HOPE Program HOPE works with New Yorkers to lift themselves out of poverty through training, jobs and career advancement. Our grant supported HOPE's integration with another organisation to strengthen its workforce development offering.
