Wallise Wu’s graduate year included working on a joint venture which is developing a pipeline of over 700MW of early stage solar projects across the Netherlands, France, and Spain.

Julia Bakhrakh, Advisory & Capital Solutions – Macquarie Capital

Julia Bakhrakh joined the graduate programme in January 2018, working as an Investment Banking Analyst in Macquarie Capital. From the start she's worked on high profile deals and says there is a culture of support, with more experienced staff willing to help grow internal talent.

Carlos Fernandez, Infrastructure & Energy – Macquarie Capital

Carlos Fernandez likes that his work allows him to have a positive, tangible impact. In his graduate year, he was given the opportunity to work on Macquarie's bid and financial close to build 530 new homes and apartments in Dublin as part of a social housing PPP project in Ireland.

Vicky Sun, Green Investment Group – Macquarie Capital

"I started at Macquarie as a summer intern and then re-joined as part of the Graduate Programme after completing a BSc in Government and Economics. I am now an analyst in the Green Investment Group (GIG), focusing on analysing principal investment opportunities in the renewables sector."

“While on my internship, I had the opportunity to attend a site visit with the team to understand the technology and operations behind wind turbines.

“Prior to joining GIG as an analyst, I spent six months with the Macquarie Capital Advisory and Capital Solutions team where I got involved in interesting M&A transactions across a wide array of sectors ranging from Baby Food and Outdoor Retail, to Gaming and Online Price Comparison.

“Macquarie offers plenty of opportunities beyond professional development: I currently volunteer as a mentor through the Macquarie Group Foundation to provide high achieving but underprivileged students with university and career guidance. I am truly grateful for the wide range of opportunities that Macquarie has to offer.”

Elisavet Mouratidi, Green Investment Group – Macquarie Capital

"After graduating in France with an MSc in Corporate Finance and Banking, I joined Macquarie’s Graduate Programme in London. I am currently an Analyst within the Green Investment Group (GIG), the green energy arm of Macquarie Capital."

“As a member of the GIG team, I actively participate in principal investing, project finance, or capital raising activities across different energy assets, such as offshore wind, waste or solar.

“Right from the start, I was given high levels of responsibility and took ownership of the financial models for all my transactions. Through these projects, I have been given the opportunity to support our GIG’s mission of accelerating the transition to a greener global economy.”
