As commodities continue to underpin the building of our cities, global energy needs grow, and technology continues to change the world, our Commodities and Global Markets Group serve a diverse client base across numerous markets. 

What you can expect

In Commodities and Global Markets, you will partner with our clients to provide tailored solutions that maximise opportunities in global markets, including commodities, fixed income, foreign exchange, technology, media and telecoms. 

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment:

  • developing your knowledge of market dynamics 

  • tailoring innovative products and solutions for clients

  • producing fundamental market analysis and research

  • engaging with clients.

Our teams in Commodities & Global Markets:

Our Commodity Markets and Finance division provides risk management, lending and financing, and physical execution and logistics services across the energy, metals and agricultural sectors globally. The division also offers commodity-based index products to institutional investors.

 

Our Specialised and Asset Finance team provides corporate clients with debt and equity financing solutions, utilising Macquarie’s balance sheet. Active in industry sectors such as energy, sustainable waste management, natural resources, telecommunications, and shipping, our teams work with clients to deploy a variety of secured finance and leasing solutions across several geographies.

Our Fixed Income and Currencies business provides currencies and fixed income trading and hedging services to a range of corporate and institutional clients globally.

Our Central division develops non-division specific, early stage or cross-divisional initiatives as well as housing various CGM-wide services including the COO and CFO teams, legal and other specialist activities. The division also encompasses operational risk, focusing on the reduction of operational and other non-financial risks across the business.

Our Equity Derivatives and Trading team focuses on the distribution of Asian, Australian and South African equity derivative products to global customers, with market leading single stock capacity. Our coverage includes warrants, and tailored equity solutions and trading expertise, for corporate and high net worth clients.
