We offer summer internships to students in their penultimate year of study. The programme runs for nine weeks from June. A summer internship offers you invaluable hands-on experience and can set you up for a successful career once you complete your studies. Working alongside leading industry professionals, you will receive a structured induction, on-the-job training and networking opportunities.

Joining the Macquarie Graduate Programme, your career development starts with a tailored orientation and business group-specific workshops. You will then embark on a structured 12 to 24-month programme with on-the-job training, access to a comprehensive range of external and internal courses and the opportunity to build your business network.
Our Graduate Programme commences in July of each year and runs for 12 months.

Our Female Business Series is a unique programme for first year female undergraduates. The programme will commence as you start your first term at University in October 2020. The series will enable you to explore the career opportunities available to you at Macquarie by learning more about our business, what our people do every day and the impact we have on the community. You’ll build your confidence and your network, and learn the essential skills required for a successful career in finance through skills-based workshops, case studies and activities.
As part of the Series, you’ll be guaranteed a place on our 2021 Insight Programme and will be considered for a place on our 2022 Internship Programme.
Sitting on the trading floor, you will work with our Trading, Structuring and Quantitative Strategist teams on developing cutting edge models and systems, using data to drive strategies, portfolio optimisation algorithms and sophisticated derivatives solutions.
This opportunity is a six-month programme which will start in Spring/Summer 2021.
In order to be eligible for this programme, you must be enrolled in a top tier M.S./Ph.D. in math, physics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative discipline. You also need to have strong programming skills and experience with Python and data science tools.
Our Rise To It with Macquarie Programme in the UK gives year 12 students from low socio-economic backgrounds and under-represented communities financial assistance, covering their full university maintenance and tuition fees1 as well as offering hands-on work experience at Macquarie. Students who are selected for the programme will have the opportunity to build their networks and access valuable career development resources.
