Memorandum of Understanding between the State Company “Russian Highways” (GC Avtodor) and Macquarie Capital CIS Holdings Pty Ltd

The State Company "Russian Highways" (GC Avtodor) and Macquarie Capital CIS Holdings Pty Ltd (Macquarie) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.  The document has been signed by Sergey Kelbah, acting Chairman of the Board of GC Avtodor, and Damian Secen, Managing Director, Head of Macquarie in Russia and CIS.

The aim of the Memorandum is to establish and further development of a strategic partnership in investing activities between the parties, in order to facilitate cooperation in assessing attractiveness of infrastructure projects involving Public Private Partnership (PPP) mechanisms.  

As part of the agreement, the parties will form a permanently functioning working group, which will focus on the development of possible efficient investment structures and ways to attract financing for them.

The cooperation between the parties will be based on the principles of mutual trust and sharing of accumulated investment experience.

The State company "Russian Highways" was founded in accordance with the Federal Law № 145-FZ “On the State Company “Russian Highways” and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation” dated July 17, 2009, in order to maintain and develop the highway network under the Company’s trust management, as well as to improve the quality of its services for the users.
