Who's who game builds confidence

A good CV helps employers quickly understand the person who is applying for a role. Young people from the Prince’s Trust learned that lesson well in an ‘Employ Me’ session using Macquarie London volunteers who helped them compose a effective CV, build their knowledge of the working world and gain some interview practice.

For many of the young participants, who have struggled with learning and self-esteem issues, the session was the start of their journey with the Prince’s Trust. A CV game helped: they reviewed Macquarie volunteers’ CVs without knowing whose was whose and, by interviewing Macquarie staff, had to guess which CV belonged to which person.

Following mock interviews and performance feedback, which for some youngsters was the first they had ever had, it was clear that the practice enabled them to understand how to construct answers and develop their communication skills.
