Santa-sized surprise at New York holiday party

20 Dec 2016

A surprise visit from Santa Claus and two of his elves at a Macquarie New York-hosted holiday party delighted 30 elementary school children from local non-profit Sheltering Arms.

Macquarie staff volunteers led festive arts and crafts and gingerbread cookie decorating stations, with the children also enjoying the professional face painting and balloon making entertainers on hand.

Each child also went home with a holiday goodie bag filled with treats; for many it was the first they had ever received.

New York employees Gina Scarpa and Maureen Lambert helped coordinate the ‘Winter Wonders’ event in partnership with Sheltering Arms, which works with low-income children and families to provide programs that can help break the cycle of inter-generational poverty.
