An awards event hosted by Macquarie celebrated students who have achieved on the field and in the classroom, following their participation in the Dallaglio Foundation’s RugbyWorks program.

The Dallaglio Foundation aims to improve disadvantaged young people’s sense of self-worth and belief, with a RugbyWorks program that teaches resilience to students across the UK.

Macquarie has funded three schools across London in a partnership with the Dallaglio Foundation and over the past year Macquarie staff have also volunteered in a variety of events with the charity, such as participating in event and logistics support at RugbyWorks competitions.

UK Education Secretary the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan attended the awards night and described the awardees as a testament to the Dallaglio Foundation’s work.

“They prove that with the right opportunities and structure, young people who have had a difficult start in life can start to build a new life.”
