Macquarie Group Foundation

COVID-19 donation fund

In April 2020, we announced that Macquarie Group allocated $A20 million to the Macquarie Group Foundation to support a select number of non-profit organisations working to combat COVID-19 and provide relief to affected communities. The fund will focus on recipients addressing areas of immediate and medium‑term need in regions in which Macquarie operates.

$A2 million was immediately contributed to The Global Foodbanking Network to address critical food security needs across its network of more than 900 foodbanks in 40 countries, including meals for children as many schools around the world remain closed.

To date $A2m has been allocated to two Australian research projects and $A5.3 million has been allocated across 23 non-profits internationally that are focused on direct relief efforts.

We recently allocated $A4.75 to three organisations that are supporting workers and businesses in restarting economic activity.

You can find out more about our grantees below.

Please note the Foundation is not accepting unsolicited applications for this non-profit funding at this time. We are consulting with sector experts, other funders and leveraging the expertise of Macquarie staff to identify a shortlist of organisations which meet our criteria.
