The Graduate Programme starts in August 2019.

The Intern Programme typically starts in mid-June and finishes in late August 2019.

Yes, we also recruit interns in our Investment Banking business in Macquarie Capital in Frankfurt throughout the year on a 12 week internship.

Our Infrastructure & Real Assets business has offices in Paris, and they look for Interns to join them for 6 months commencing in September and March each year.

We are also looking for Interns to join us in our Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions business based in Zurich, commencing summer 2019.

  • 12 month placement programme: must be graduating in 2021 and have an opportunity to undergo a placement year as part of your course
  • Insight Programme: 1st year students (or 2nd year of a four-year course)
  • Intern Programme: penultimate year students
  • Graduate Programme: students currently in their final year of study of an undergraduate or master's degree and will complete your studies within the next 12 months.

If you have completed your studies prior to September 2018 you are not eligible for our programmes. Please check our careers page for any entry level opportunities.

The eligibility criteria for our opportunities outside of London may differ, please check the job description for more information.

We currently do not offer any programmes for PhD or MBA students, but we encourage you to check our careers page for any other relevant opportunities.

You might be eligible for our out of cycle opportunities in Frankfurt or Paris or entry level analyst opportunities that are not part of a programme. You can find more information on these roles on the careers page.

We endeavour to respond to you as soon as we can, but during campaign periods where we receive a high volume of applications it may take us a bit longer. You can expect to hear back on your application within 2 weeks.

All businesses offer an induction and training programme complemented by a rich learning curriculum to aid development. Training and career development vary slightly depending on the business area. On the job training will give you the confidence and skills so you can own your career.

We look for students with a strong academic background. While we don’t require a certain amount of UCAS points we do look for graduates and interns who are on track for a 2:1 and above.

Unfortunately, due to the high volumes of applications we receive, we’re unable to provide you with specific feedback on the outcome at the early stages of your application, however we do provide all candidates full feedback on the outcome of your Superday.

We encourage you to apply to our programmes even if you won’t be based in the country. Our first round interviews are video interviews and you can conduct these anywhere, as long as you have internet connection. We will review these and email you if you’ve been progressed to the next stage.

If you’re invited to attend our Superday, Macquarie will cover the cost of travel from the EU to our offices in London. If you live outside the EU we will be in touch with you directly to organise an interview by WebEx or by Video Conference if we have a Macquarie office near you.

Yes, we do offer Visa sponsorship to successful candidates. However, it is your responsibility to inform us of your residency status when applying.

Unfortunately, Macquarie does not run a formal work experience programme.
