Macquarie Group's ("Macquarie") (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY) Energy Markets Division ("EMD") announced today that Robert Faitell will join as a Senior Managing Director and Head of Americas Sales and Origination in the firm's New York office, effective July 2010.
Mr. Faitell brings over 20 years of energy banking and commodities derivative experience to Macquarie. He will join Macquarie from Morgan Stanley’s Commodities Group, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of Corporate Client Coverage for the Americas. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1996, Mr. Faitell spent ten years at BNP Paribas where he held a number of roles, including positions in Project Finance, Leveraged Finance and Commodity Derivatives Sales.
