Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) is part of Macquarie Asset Management and has partnered with clients, governments and communities for more than twenty-five years to finance, manage, develop and enhance essential real assets. Today, MIRA’s portfolio is relied on by more than 100 million people every day. Our team of more than 800 people globally invests in businesses that underpin economies and communities – aiming to add real and lasting value for our clients and the people our assets serve.
MIRA manages a portfolio of ~150+ businesses, ~12.4 GW of green energy, ~500 properties and ~4.8 million hectares of farmland. We recognise that these businesses play an important role in people’s lives and that we are in a position to make a material difference to their operations. That’s why, whether we are financing the construction of solar farms in India or partnering with our portfolio companies to create safer work environments for their employees, we remain focused on the responsibility we have to create stronger, more sustainable investments and a legacy of which everyone can be proud.
As a Graduate or Intern, you will contribute to the critical role our team plays in the MAM value proposition, which involves developing new products, raising capital from investors, and managing relationships with MAM’s existing client base. Together with the rest of the team, you will work with senior relationship managers and product specialists to support MIRA’s global fundraising efforts by building a strong understanding of MIRA’s platform and business model, as well as the track record and strategy of its managed funds and the underlying assets. You can expect to deliver investor reporting and updates, and develop market analysis to attract new clients to the business. You will benefit from broad exposure to sectors such as infrastructure and renewable energy, as well as other alternatives, such as real estate, private credit and agriculture.
Your role as a Graduate or Intern in one of our Infrastructure Equity Investment teams will see you working on MIRA’s infrastructure assets across Europe, helping to manage and invest in companies that underpin communities, economies, and supply chains.
Relied on by over 100 million people around the world each day, our diverse portfolio includes investments in green infrastructure like wind farms and solar farms, road networks connecting communities, airports serving major cities, essential utility networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
In addition to helping shape the future direction of these businesses, you will be given the opportunity to help ours – working on projects and research relating to existing and targeted assets and assisting with acquisitions through detailed valuation analysis and due diligence.
As a Graduate or Intern in our Private Credit Investment Team, you will be helping to finance the operation and development of essential green infrastructure like wind farms and solar farms, road networks connecting communities, airports serving major cities, essential utility networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
Our Private Credit Investment team invests in infrastructure debt assets on behalf of institutional investors such as pension funds who are seeking to match their long-dated liabilities with assets that generate stable returns.
By joining the Private Credit Investment team, you will assist in originating, structuring and executing transactions – helping infrastructure asset owners to issue debt products and enabling institutional investors to gain exposure to this fast-growing asset class.
Your role will see you get involved in all aspects of investment analysis including building and reviewing sensitivities on financial models, reviewing due diligence on potential investments and assessing the appropriate debt levels and debt structure for the potential acquisition. You will also have responsibility for aspects of portfolio management as well as producing investment papers and managing client requests.
Shifting demographics, urbanisation, and emerging technology are reshaping the real estate sector at an unprecedented speed. That is why our team looks beyond the current market cycle, capitalising on long-term trends impacting the world’s largest asset class to create investment opportunities for our partners and clients around the world.
Your role as a Graduate or Intern in the MIRA Real Estate Equity Investment Team will see you working on our real estate investments across Europe, helping to invest and manage assets that are meeting the demands of growing cities – providing thriving workplaces, modern living environments and optimised supply chains. You will be given the opportunity to help shape the future direction of our investments – working on projects and research relating to existing and targeted assets and assisting with acquisitions through detailed valuation analysis and due diligence.
“In parallel to my work on transactions, I have regular opportunities to present material updates on our existing borrowers to the Investment and Risk team directors, the Investment Committee and our investors. I also had the opportunity to meet with investors in Korea while I was working closer to my home in the Seoul office (allowing me to utilise flexible working). Together with the many training courses that Macquarie offers, this level of responsibility and exposure has allowed me to progress on a steep learning curve since I joined."
“MIDIS places great emphasis on team spirit and social activities, and outside of day-to-day work I have gone on ski weekends with the team and have participated in touch rugby tournaments and charity cycling. Last year, I abseiled down the 80m platform of the ArcelorMittal Orbit in Stratford to raise money for a charity supported by the MIDIS team.”
“After I finished university, I joined Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets as an Analyst on the Graduate Programme. As a member of the Investor Solutions Group, I support the relationship managers in capital raising, including producing fund establishment documents, investor presentations and due diligence questionnaire responses.
“From the beginning, I was given a high level of responsibility and exposure to investors which has allowed me to progress on a steep learning curve in a stimulating and exciting work environment. This has been an invaluable experience so far, especially as I’m supported by a talented and ambitious team.”
