Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) is Macquarie's asset management business. MAM is a full-service asset manager, providing investment solutions to clients across a range of capabilities, including infrastructure, real estate, agriculture, equities, fixed income, private credit, liquid alternatives and multi-asset solutions.
MAM had $A542.7 billion of assets under management as at 31 March 2019.
MAM has been managing assets for institutional and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US, through a predecessor firm, formerly known as Delaware Investments.
MAM comprises the following two divisions:
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets is a leader in alternative asset management worldwide, specialising in infrastructure, real estate, agriculture and energy via public and private funds, co-investments, partnerships and separately managed accounts. Investing regionally with expert local investment and asset management teams, its client base is primarily institutional investors, including global pension and superannuation funds, other institutions and governments. The division is recognised for its expertise over the investment lifecycle, with strong capabilities in investment sourcing, investment management and investor relationships.
Macquarie Investment Management
Macquarie Investment Management offers securities investment management capabilities across a number of asset classes including fixed income, currencies, equities, hedge funds and multi-asset solutions. It delivers a full-service offering to both institutional and retail clients in the US and Australia, with selective offerings in other regions. Macquarie Investment Management also partners with selected specialist investment managers to distribute "best of breed" strategies in Australia through its Macquarie Professional Series range of funds.
