20 March 2020    IMPORTANT 

From Friday 20 March, all Macquarie Personal Banking clients who are experiencing financial difficulty can immediately defer their loan repayments for six months. This applies to all overdraft, home loan, car and equipment loan and credit card clients.

Like all Australians, we’re closely monitoring the latest developments in relation to coronavirus. We’re here to help and we’re committed to supporting Australian households through what we know is an uncertain and difficult time.

Temporary Early Release of Superannuation

You may be eligible for a Temporary Early Release of Superannuation, a measure recently announced by the Federal Government.

If eligible, you’ll be able to access up to $20,000 from your superannuation account tax free - $10,000 before 30 June 2020 and another $10,000 from 1 July 2020 for approximately three months.

Macquarie Business Banking clients who are experiencing financial difficulty can immediately defer their loan repayments for six months.

This applies to all Macquarie Business Banking loans up to $10 million, provided certain criteria are met.

To support Australian businesses dealing with the evolving impact of coronavirus on their ability to trade and employ Australians through this difficult period, we’re offering financial relief to all our SME clients. If a Macquarie Business Banking client has been impacted by coronavirus, they can request a six month payment pause on their loan repayments by speaking to their Macquarie relationship manager today.

We’ve begun reaching out to every one of our business clients to reassure them we’re ready to provide the tailored support they need. If you and your business has been impacted by coronavirus, please get in touch with your relationship manager to discuss relief measures available and how we can provide ongoing support during this time.
