Macquarie’s Technology team comprises nearly 3,000 people based all around the globe working on delivering innovative technological solutions to provide fast and reliable systems to place trades, deliver value and position us to be competitive within the market.

Our teams are responsible for driving simplification and consolidation of our technology architecture and efficiency of our key infrastructure platforms and own strategic initiatives such as cyber security, and public and private cloud programs.

Working in one of our teams in Technology, you could be:

  • building platforms and apps that support more than one million retail banking customers to lead the way in digital banking 
  • involved in projects within the organisation that transform the way we work
  • working on a variety of projects across trading platforms, including changes to support new business capability, enhancements and system maintenance
  • learning agile scrum delivery methodology, customer-centric design, design thinking techniques, full-stack software development delivery, problem solving, analytical thinking, scaled agile experience, DevOps, stakeholder management or solution design
  • providing support to our program managers and taking on responsibilities for project management, business analysis and change management
  • enhancing your knowledge and understanding of financial markets and products.

Our groups within Technology

The Infrastructure and Personal Technology subdivision is responsible for the management and operation of core services across the Technology division. These include workplace platforms that facilitate employee collaboration and productivity, and the delivery of our technology cloud strategy. These teams also manage core service management, including processes and reporting for resilience, incident and data management.

The identity and cyber security teams provide a safe and responsive environment that enables Macquarie to pursue opportunities with confidence. These services enable our customers to trust in the integrity of Macquarie by preparing for, protecting against, and responding to cyber threats.​ The group is comprised of the Identity and Cyber Security Technology subdivision and any technology teams that have a focus on identity or cyber security.

The data and analytics teams focus on creating value through trusted data that is accessible, fit-for-purpose and accurate. The teams are responsible for enterprise data management, regulatory reporting, and upholding frameworks for records management. The group is comprised of the Enterprise Information Management subdivision and any technology teams that have a focus on data, analytics, or reporting.

The business-aligned technology teams closely partner with their global businesses and are responsible for the architecture of their technology landscape, the delivery and operation of technology services and the support of platforms and programs. The business-aligned teams support Banking and Financial Services, Central Services, Commodities and Global Markets, Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Capital.
