Duncan Milne (Banking and Financial Services)

“I joined the Macquarie Graduate Program in 2019 after completing my Bachelor of Pharmacy and am now a business analyst in the product and technology team.”

“Coming from a non-tech background, I have felt incredibly supported by my manager and team as I have gone through the many steep learning curves that come with starting a new job in a new industry.

“What I love most about working at Macquarie is being able to take opportunities that push me outside my comfort zone. Since joining, I have been primarily involved with the analysis, design and build process for a new commercial lending platform. It is exciting to be using some of the leading technologies in the industry and working with stakeholders from many different areas of Macquarie.

“Being a Graduate at Macquarie also means spending plenty of time on personal and professional development. Over the last nine months, I have taken an active role in the Graduate Volunteer Network, run workshops in conjunction with the human-centred design team, participated in touch rugby and other sporting events, and enjoyed many social events networking with colleagues.”
