Eloise Ambrose (Macquarie Asset Management)

“After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia, I moved to Sydney to join Macquarie. Initially, I worked across a range of transactions and products from structured finance to green infrastructure.”

“After six months of rotations and varied work, I joined a team that invests in specialist disability accommodation (SDA), an initiative by the Australian Government, that provides a Government-backed rental stream to people with very high support needs or extreme functional impairment for housing through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The nature of this work has been immensely rewarding, as our developments provide high quality housing to a cohort of disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

“Over my Graduate year in Macquarie Asset Management, I have had multiple opportunities to create and foster relationships externally, with exposure to potential and existing clients, and internally throughout Macquarie with continuous engagement with key functions such as the Financial Management Group and the Risk Management Group. The ability to work with a wide range of people has allowed me to become far more knowledgeable and involved in my current sector, and to better understand the other groups in Macquarie that we work with every day. From the start of my career, Macquarie has offered multiple opportunities for ownership of work and development of new ideas through rotations across diverse and high performing teams and a number of professional and personal development training courses.

“Macquarie offers lots of great networking events and additional training so that Graduates throughout Macquarie can meet and attend events together. MIRA, in particular, emphasises a great work culture with a variety of sporting teams, groups and social activities which has been particularly helpful since my move from Perth to Sydney.”
