Macquarie Group Appoints Thomas Caracciola as Head of Macquarie Futures USA Inc.

NEW YORK — Macquarie Group (Macquarie) (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY) today announced the appointment of Thomas Caracciola as Head of Macquarie Futures USA Inc. (Macquarie Futures) effective September 20, 2011. Mr. Caracciola is based in Macquarie’s New York office. 

Mr. Caracciola has more than 26 years of financial services experience. He joins from Goldman Sachs where he served as a Vice President in Client Relationship Management since 2005. In that role, he was responsible for the creation and management of an Institutional Client Relationship Management team. The team focused primarily on top institutional priority clients trading financial futures and options. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President for Futures Marketing and Product Development at Greenwich Capital, Head of Implementation Strategy at Merrill Lynch Direct Markets’ Technology Division, and spent over a decade with Merrill Lynch’s Financial Futures Options Group heading up Global Futures Marketing and Clearing Sales.
