Racing to the front in Hong Kong and Singapore

Asia, 15 November 2014

Competing against more than 100 other ultra-competitive corporate teams, Macquarie’s Hong Kong and Singapore teams were both successful in winning the coveted Bloomberg Square Mile Relays in each of those countries this year.

Hong Kong’s inaugural event had more than 1,000 runners participating, and only seconds split the top two teams. In Singapore, as defending champions from 2013, the Macquarie team thrived under the pressure, to again cross the line first.

Including matching from the Macquarie Group Foundation, the team winnings of $HK160,000 in Hong Kong went to Sunshine Action, a local non-profit which operates food donation programs, and $S20,000 went to HopeHouse in Singapore, a residential care facility for boys.
