Professional insights help first generation college students

Manila, 01 Jun 2015

Thirty new college graduates in Manila recently joined Macquarie’s inaugural LifeSkills program to gain insight into the working world.

The program is an opportunity for graduates who have been associated with A Better Chance Foundation to visit Macquarie’s Manila office and access practical career advice and tools. Many of these graduates have never experienced a corporate work setting.

Staff representing technology, human resources and finance divisions talked about their different career journeys, and the students also participated in workshops on CV writing, interview skills and personal presentation.

Macquarie has supported A Better Chance Foundation since 2012, providing financial support and informal mentoring to a group of 45 students.
