Together the team has over 200 years combined experience in the finance and investment industry, and focuses exclusively on private equity. The team is supported by Macquarie Funds Group's fund administration group of over 170 professionals providing assistance with legal, risk and tax issues, as well as fund reporting.

Michael Lukin, BSc(Hons), CFA, AIAA
Michael Lukin is a Managing Director in MFG's Sydney office and Head of the MFGPE team. Michael is responsible for the management of the MFGPE business, including chairing the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee, having lead responsibility on a number of MFGPE advisory accounts and overall responsibility for MFGPE's investment activities in Australia. He has 12 years of private equity investment experience. Before joining MFG, Michael spent over three years as an asset consultant with Towers Perrin, providing advice on investment matters and manager selection to superannuation funds and master trust clients. This included working with the Alternative Investments Group of Total Risk Management, a subsidiary of Towers Perrin, on alternative asset manager selection and policy.
Michael serves on the advisory boards of Pacific Equity Partners, Next Capital, and Crescent Capital. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with Honours from the University of Sydney, Australia, majoring in financial mathematics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") Charter Holder and is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

Robert Credaro, BEc(Hons), CFA
Robert Credaro is a Managing Director in MFG's Sydney office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. Robert is involved in the due diligence and analysis of investment decisions for Australian and international funds. Robert has worked in the finance and investment industry for 20 years, and prior to joining MFG in 2000, Robert worked in Macquarie Group's Equity Markets Group, where he was involved in the analysis of stock market sectors and the overall equity market. On joining Macquarie Group in 1990, Robert initially worked in the Debt Markets Division as a Fixed Interest Analyst. Previously, Robert spent four years in the Australian Department of Treasury in Canberra where he worked on the Commonwealth budget and on Overseas Debt Management.
Robert serves on the advisory boards of Catalyst, Kestrel Capital, Allegro Private Equity, GBS BioVentures and Ironbridge. Robert received a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from University of Sydney, Australia. He is a CFA Charter Holder.

Peter Johnston, BEc, CPA, F Fin
Peter Johnston is a Managing Director based in MFG's Melbourne office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. Peter is primarily responsible for MFGPE's infrastructure fund-of-funds investment activities. Peter has previously held a number of senior roles at Macquarie Capital. Peter joined Macquarie Capital in 2002. During this time, he has worked on pioneering Macquarie's unlisted infrastructure funds, investor relations for Macquarie Infrastructure Group, unlisted equity syndication and advisory work for numerous transactions across toll roads, airports, transport, social infrastructure and energy.
Prior to this Peter was lead investment manager for Industry Funds Management's infrastructure funds. Peter also worked at KPMG Corporate Finance focusing on infrastructure and held a senior finance role for Multinet Gas, a large Australian gas distribution utility. Peter is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Melanie Moore, BEc, BA
Melanie Moore is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's Sydney office. Melanie is responsible for product development of the Australian and international private equity product range and is also responsible for investor relations for MFG's private equity clients. Prior to this, Melanie was Head of Client Service for the Funds Management Group and was responsible for managing the servicing of the institutional and platform clients of Macquarie Funds Management. Prior to joining Macquarie, Melanie was at Schroder Investment Management in London for over two years as a client service manager with responsibility for the daily servicing of over 30 institutional clients.
Before this, Melanie worked at State Street Australia for three years as a client accountant responsible for Australian and Asian based clients. Melanie received a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Asian Studies from the Australian National University in Canberra.

Shaw Ng, BComm (Hons), CFA
Shaw Ng is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's Sydney office. Shaw is involved in the due diligence and analysis of investment decisions within the Alternative Investments team at MFG. Prior to joining the team, Shaw was part of MFG's International Division, where he was responsible for sourcing and analysing proprietary acquisitions, predominantly in China, Hong Kong and the USA. Before joining MFG, Shaw spent two years with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's ("CBA") Business Investments team where he reviewed structured finance and strategic acquisition transactions. In that role, Shaw was an integral part of CBA's China Banking team, where he was involved in screening and conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
Shaw started his career in Towers Perrin providing asset allocation, manager selection and manager configuration advice to institutional clients. Shaw serves on the advisory boards of Fulcrum Capital, Anchorage, Quadrant, Archer, Archer Growth and CHAMP. Shaw received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney with Honours and is a CFA Charter Holder.

Jenny Weinstock, BSc (Hons), FIA
Jenny Weinstock is a Manager based in MFG's Sydney office. Jenny has five years experience having worked with Mercer Consulting in the UK where she was an Investment Analyst in their Alternative Investments team, focusing on investment strategy and manager selection on behalf of UK pension funds. Prior to this, Jenny worked for Watson Wyatt Worldwide in Madrid and Manchester, working directly with pension funds on their employee benefits schemes.
Jenny serves on the advisory boards of Starfish, Jolimont Ventures, Southern Cross and Maui Capital. Jenny has a Bachelor of Science majoring in mathematics with Honours from Imperial College, London and has just completed the actuarial exams from the UK Institute of Actuaries.

Sami Omari, BEng
Sami Omari is an Executive based in MFG's Sydney office and is involved in the due diligence and analysis of investments within the Alternative Investments team. Prior to joining the Funds Management Group, Sami worked in Macquarie Bank's Information Services Division, where he was involved with the design and development of fixed interest and equities dealing systems. Previously, Sami spent nearly two years with Siemens Plessey Electronic systems involved with electronic design and automated component testing.
Sami received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Sydney, completing his Engineering thesis in technology commercialisation. He received a commendation from the Department Industry, Science & Resources for his contribution to Australian Entrepreneurship in 2001.

Sarah Bellon, BA
Sarah Bellon is an Executive based in MFG's Sydney office and is responsible for the data management of all investment information. Sarah has over ten years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Macquarie, Sarah worked as a Performance Analyst with Russell/Mellon Performance Analytics where she was responsible for all aspects of performance reporting for Russell Investment Group as well as preparing Russell/Mellon's monthly and quarterly balanced pooled funds survey.
She worked as an Analyst at Towers Perrin for seven years where she had sole responsibility for producing the monthly and quarterly balanced pooled funds survey and coordinated and managed quarterly manager monitoring service and quarterly manager surveys. She also provided analytical support on each of the assigned asset consulting clients. Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics from the University of the Philippines.

Daniel Levan, BComm
Daniel Levan is a Senior Associate based in MFG's Sydney office and has one year of investment experience. Daniel is involved in the due diligence and quantitative analysis of investments within MFGPE. Prior to joining the team, Daniel worked in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs in London, where he was responsible for analysing and making proprietary investments in a range of industry sectors primarily in Europe and the United States. Daniel completed his undergraduate studies at both the Wharton School of Business and the University of Melbourne, majoring in finance and economics.

Eric Becker, BA(Hons), MBA(Hons), CPA, CFA
Eric Becker is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's San Diego office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. Eric leads MFG's buyout and distressed debt investment activities in North America. This includes sourcing, due diligence, negotiating terms and researching industry trends and opportunities.
Prior to joining MFG, Eric was a Director and a Partnership Investment Committee member at Pacific Corporate Group LLC ("PCG"), where he managed client relationships for various public pension plans, which involved portfolio construction as well as investment selection. Prior to PCG, Eric was an Investment Analyst at Pacific Life Insurance Company where he analysed various investments. Eric began his career at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he performed financial statement audits. Eric serves on the advisory board of Montauk Triguard.
Eric received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. In 2005, Eric was an Adjunct Professor in the Finance department at the University of San Diego. He is a CFA Charter Holder, a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the CFA Institute.

Rick Fratus, BSc, MBA
Rick Fratus is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's San Diego office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. Prior to joining MFG in 2005, Rick was a Senior Associate at Pacific Corporate Group LLC ("PCG"), working with large public pension plans in constructing their private equity portfolios and selecting private equity managers. His areas at focus include energy, clean technology, venture capital, secondary investments, and special situations.
Prior to PCG, he worked as an Analyst for ARCH Venture Partners and the Clean Energy Incubator where he evaluated start-up opportunities and provided management consulting support to portfolio companies. Rick also served on active duty for nine years as a Special Operations Officer in the U.S. Navy. Rick serves on the advisory boards for Riverstone/Carlyle Renewable Energy Funds, Hudson Clean Energy Partners, Rockport Capital, Braemar Energy, and Industry Ventures.
Rick received his MBA from the University of Texas, Austin, a Diploma in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy with Merit.

Kurt Faulhaber, BSc Eng, MBA
Kurt Faulhaber is a Senior Manager based in MFG's San Diego office. Kurt has deep Clean Tech domain experience and focuses on MFG's clean technology investment activities. Prior to joining MFG, Kurt was Associate Director at the Clean Energy Incubator ("the Incubator"), the first of its kind in the U.S., initiated in 2001 by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory. At the Incubator, Kurt focused on identifying viable clean technology ventures and technologies, assisting companies to receive venture capital funding, and supporting these companies in their launch and growth.
In addition, Kurt has had numerous consulting engagements, including an appointment by the Los Alamos National Laboratory to perform financial valuations of clean technology equity deals. Kurt began his career in the semiconductor industry with Teradyne, Inc. where he led multi-million dollar product developments of Automatic Test Equipment. Kurt serves on the advisory board for Element Partners and NGP Energy Technology Partners.
Kurt received his MBA specialising in Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas, Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Peter Weidmann, MSFinSc, MBA
Peter Weidmann is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's London office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. He is focused on MFGPE's European investment activities in primary funds, secondary funds, and co-investments. Prior to joining MFG, Peter was an Investment Director at BTV Investments, a large family investment office based in Munich, Germany. He was responsible for BTV Investment's private equity portfolio including portfolio construction and manager selection. His areas at focus included buy-out, venture capital, energy, secondary investments, and special situation funds. Prior to BTV Investments, Peter was with Deutsche Bank AG in San Francisco and Frankfurt analysing investments in high-technology companies. Peter started his career as a business consultant with Bearingpoint in Frankfurt, Germany. Peter serves on the advisory boards of Virgin Green Fund, Hg Capital and Zeus Private Equity.
Peter received his MBA with honours from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and holds a M.S. in Finance and Computer Science from the University of Mannheim, Germany. He is fluent in German.

Anna Kirkman, BBA FFin
Anna Kirkman is an Executive based in MFG's London office. Anna is involved in the product development of MFG's private equity funds and has been with Macquarie for five years having commenced her career in the Client Service Team of the Funds Management Group in Sydney. More recently, Anna was with MFG's Compliance division supporting the establishment of MFG's UK business, with responsibility for Governance, Policy Development, Business Continuity, Financial Promotions and Licensing. Anna graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and has received a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is a Fellow of the Institute.

Hugh Dyus, BEcon Science, MBA
Hugh Dyus is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's Hong Kong office and a member of the MFGPE Senior Partners Committee. Hugh is involved in the due diligence and analysis of Asian private equity investments. Hugh has over 15 years of M&A and private equity experience in the Asia Pacific region serving as Director of PPM Ventures, focusing on deal origination and execution activities and on portfolio management of the Asian direct investments portfolio. He also worked briefly for Deutsche Bank as a Director, Private Equity.
Before his affiliation with PPM Ventures, Hugh was a Director of CCF Charterhouse (Asia) Ltd ("CCF"), where he was responsible for the establishment and development of their Asian corporate finance advisory business, which was focused on M&A. Prior to moving to Asia in 1991, Hugh worked in London for CCF and Chase Investment Bank focusing on the origination and execution of UK and cross-border European M&A transactions. Hugh serves on the advisory board of Avigo. Hugh holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Economic Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Motoya Kitamura, BComm(Hons)
Motoya Kitamura is a Senior Vice President based in MFG's Hong Kong office. Motoya is involved in the due diligence and analysis of Asian private equity investments, specifically investments in the Japanese private equity market. Motoya has participated in the Japanese private equity market for 9 years, initially as a researcher for Mitsubishi Research Institute and since January 2005 as a fund investment professional at Alternative Investment Capital. At Alternative Investment Capital, Motoya was involved in the screening and monitoring of private equity funds on a global basis. Motoya is widely recognised in the media as a commentator on the Japanese buyout market and has published numerous reports and articles on the private equity industry in Japan.
Prior to joining Mitsubishi Research Institute, Motoya was a staff writer for Japanese business magazines and news services. Motoya serves on the advisory board of Advent Japan. Motoya has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Osaka University of Foreign Studies and a Master of Arts in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. Motoya is fluent in Japanese.

Frewen Lam is a Manager based in MFG's Hong Kong office. Frewen originally joined MFG's Sydney office in 2004, assisting in due diligence and quantitative analysis of investments in the Australian private equity market. Frewen relocated to the Hong Kong office in April 2007 to support MFG's Asia Pacific investment activities. Frewen has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours from Macquarie University, Sydney. Frewen is fluent in Cantonese and speaks conversational Mandarin.
