Working at Macquarie is both exciting and very challenging. A typical day for me involves working with staff and clients across time zones while multi-tasking through a plethora of projects with sometimes aggressive deadlines. Specific to my experience over the course of three years, I have had the privilege of participating in several integration projects across the Americas that substantially increased our presence in the region. The most challenging part of my role is managing and meeting these often short deadlines, driven by acquisition and other business growth activities. Working together with regional and global teams, however, makes these and any other challenges viable to overcome.

Technology, people, and opportunity – three words I would use to describe the best parts of my experience and Macquarie. Macquarie uses some of the most sophisticated technology platforms that exist today and is always looking for new technology solutions to create and deploy. Macquarie staff are engaging, highly skilled, and are eager to share knowledge. At Macquarie, I’ve found that the culture makes it easy for people to network within and across teams, work together, and collaborate globally to deliver solutions. Finally, Macquarie is truly a place of “opportunity without limits”. At Macquarie, flexibility and diversity in the work that you perform and roles that you may work in are unlimited. Developing new skills to prepare for a new role if you so choose is a great option to have at Macquarie. Within my role in the Network Engineering team, I value the experiences that I’ve had working on real projects with real business impact.
