I spent a summer at Macquarie as an intern and enjoyed it so much that I came back for a fulltime role. From the very beginning of your career, you are granted a high level of responsibility, stemming from the quality of the assignments and the opportunities to participate and contribute to the team’s success.

Over the course of my time at Macquarie, my role has remained interesting because it has been changing constantly as I have been given opportunities to develop new skills and grow by working directly with upper management. One of the challenges has been learning to manage relationships and deadlines across multiple offices and time-zones including Sydney, London, Delhi, and Mexico City. I am already responsible for a number of projects, one of the most recent being the establishment of the financial control framework for Macquarie Mexican Infrastructure Fund.

Macquarie promotes a working environment in which individual ability and hard work are recognized and rewarded. As a result, no one here is ever complacent. They are always looking to reassess things that are already working well and exploring how they can make them better. Everyone is encouraged to take on as much responsibility as they can handle; you can go as far as your abilities take you.
