The first major transaction that I worked on was the Chicago Skyway. It was a $1.9 billion public-to-private toll road concession and lease from the city of Chicago. Macquarie was the financial advisor to the Macquarie Infrastructure Group/Cintra consortium which won the auction.

It was an excellent training ground to learn firsthand about an infrastructure deal process. Following the success of the Skyway transaction, I quickly transitioned into another toll road deal, the Dulles Greenway, where I was involved in the financial modeling of the $1.6 billion sale.

As well as the Skyway and Greenway transactions, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of deals including electricity transmission, hydro and wind power, car parking, natural gas distribution, district heating, construction finance and other toll road projects.
