As a graduate going through recruitment I was unsure of what area of the bank I was most interested in. Joining the Risk Management Group has exposed me to many of Macquarie’s different businesses, and I have had the opportunity to both expand my knowledge base and hone in on particular areas of interest. While initially I was working with property transactions, more recently I have been involved with the hedge fund, trading, and corporate lending businesses. From day one I have been able to take on a lot of responsibility, and the opportunities for growth are endless.

In my opinion Macquarie's best asset is its people. As a graduate, everyone is happy to help you out and answer questions while you get settled and learn the ropes. There is an open floor plan which allows you to work closely with many senior colleagues on a daily basis. The office environment is productive, yet always enjoyable.
