Recruitment Process At Macquarie, we believe our most valuable assets leave the building at the end of each day. We recruit and retain people who will thrive in the Macquarie culture and support our goals and values. To help us find you, we use a combination of resume screening, interviews and psychometric assessment. Our recruitment is not based solely on academic achievements. Instead we aim to find candidates who satisfy a broad range of criteria and can make a positive and on-going contribution to the organisation. Although the precise timeline, number of steps and evaluation process varies across the organisation, our standard recruitment process reflects the following: Application: Select 'Apply Now', located in the right-hand navigation menu to read about our graduate opportunities and access the online application form. You will need to attach your resume and any other supporting documents requested in the job description. Interviews: The interview process is an opportunity for you to learn more about our organisation, identify the opportunities available to you within our organisation and for us to further explore your skills and experience. Interviews will generally take place with representatives from both HR and the individual businesses. Assessment: Psychometric assessment is a normal part of the selection process at Macquarie and provides additional objective, reliable and relevant information about the likelihood of job success and satisfaction within the Macquarie environment. Psychometric assessment at Macquarie is available in a variety of languages. Below are example questions in each of the languages offered to assist you in choosing the most appropriate language for your skill level. Generally, this will be your native language and should not be impacted by the location of the position you are applying for. You should only complete the assessment in English if that is your strongest language. Please inform the recruitment contact of your preferred language when booking your assessment session. Tips:
Further practice questions and comprehensive instructions will be provided to you on the day of the assessment. Additional practice questions are available at: http://www.shldirect.com/example_questions.html Employment Screening: This process involves reference and verbal background checking. Any information generated from the interview process and psychometric assessment, in combination with information gathered during the selection process, will be used to obtain a comprehensive view of the match between you, our organisation and the position you have applied for. |
