As you are no doubt aware, the consultation phase of the recent DP 10/2 “Platforms: delivering the RDR and other issues for discussion” closed on Wednesday 26th May. We were respondents to this paper and are broadly in favour of many of the proposals, specifically regarding the key themes of broad investor choice, charging transparency and financial strength considerations of providers. We have now digested the outputs from DP 10/2 Platforms: delivering the RDR and other issues for discussion and Macquarie will be responding directly to the FSA by 26th May. In the meantime, we are keen to ensure our response is as informed as possible and have been consulting with our users for their thoughts on the paper, as well as understanding the views of Fund Managers. Our sense is that the broad messages are very much aligned to the current status and long-term vision for Macquarie Wrap and our commitment to ongoing innovation, enhanced functionality and financial security for customers.
