We are dedicated to giving our recruits the right support, mobility and resources to build their chosen career. By joining Macquarie you will be given the opportunity to make your mark within a highly successful team. Fast track to successKey to our success is the entrepreneurialism and motivation we encourage in all of our people. You will have the opportunity to progress your career as quickly as your ability will allow, finding your niche and excelling. Real experience in a merit based cultureYour career starts on day one. We embrace our non- hierarchical, open plan working environment where individual contributions are recognised and rewarded. Underpinning this merit-based culture are our six organisational goals and values: integrity, client commitment, striving for profitability, fulfilment for our people, teamwork and the highest standards. Global opportunitiesOur international presence means you have the potential to work in any Macquarie office around the world, providing you with genuine global career opportunities. Ongoing DevelopmentWe are committed to the ongoing development of our people. You will be given the learning and development support that you require to ensure you reach your full potential. For further details regarding some of our training initiatives go to the ’What we offer you’ page. Macquarie in the CommunityThe Macquarie Group Foundation contributed over £9 million to more than 900 community organisations in the year to 31 March 2009. The Foundation funds community needs in the areas of health, education, the arts, welfare and the environment with long-term support enabling organisations to plan for the future. Macquarie staff provide many hours of volunteering and pro-bono assistance. In addition, staff who fundraise or make personal donations can apply to have their donation matched by the Foundation - effectively doubling their contribution. The workplace giving programme, Macquarie Giving, operates in the UK enabling staff to make donations to the charities of their choice directly from their monthly pay. Macquarie Graduates in the CommunityAs a graduate you too can become directly involved in supporting the community by joining the Graduate Volunteering Network (GVN). Over the past year the GVN in the UK has been involved in a volunteering afternoon at four local community organisations, and is supporting the Ivy Street Children's Centre in Hackney to build a playground and fundraise to provide additional play sessions and equipment. For more information on the Foundation visit the Macquarie Group Foundation page.
