Corporate Affairs Group - Finance

The Corporate Affairs Group (CAG) provides essential and professional services across all areas of Macquarie. The Group sets and maintains the highest of standards and is continually developing operational efficiencies and sets industry benchmarks in service delivery. It is comprised of Finance, Human Resources, Business Services, Company Secretarial and Investor Relations, Business Improvement and Strategy, Settlements, Treasury and Taxation.

  Within CAG, Graduate opportunities exist in Finance, with the opportunity to study the ACA Finance qualification - Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Finance

The Finance division is located in nearly every location Macquarie has operations. The Division provides financial control, financial planning, capital management, management reporting, budgeting, divisional accounting services and international business support. Graduates in the Finance team will participate in a structured programme, designed to provide a thorough understanding of the accounting framework which is integral to Macquarie’s success.

The Division is structured along business lines with a dedicated team co-located with, and providing support to each operating area. In addition there are central functions such as Group Finance, Group Financial Strategy and Global Finance Services that provide services across the whole Macquarie Group. There are also teams located in our international offices to provide support in the same time zone.

Finance continues to expand to support Macquarie’s growth. Global Finance Services is a significant initiative which has been put in place to create a more efficient and scalable operating model for Finance and proactively drive new approaches to service delivery.

Our clients are Macquarie’s internal clients, primarily Business Units, Central Reporting Areas, Taxation and Risk Management.
