Macquarie Real Estate opens Manchester office |
|
|
27 November 2007 Macquarie Real Estate, a diversified international provider of specialist real estate services, has opened a Manchester office to support the growth of its real estate structured finance platform in the United Kingdom. Peter Gray, Head of Real Estate Structured Finance – UK said, “We are excited about extending our existing operations in the United Kingdom by opening a Manchester office.” Mr Robson, Head of Real Estate Structured Finance – Manchester said, “I am delighted to be back on the Manchester scene to set up a new operation.” Macquarie Real Estate Structured Finance helps UK real estate developers and investors by providing finance and risk management products in the real estate market. These products combine key UK lending techniques together with features of finance programmes developed in the Australian and US markets. Competitively priced and structured, its facilities are suited to significant residential, industrial, office and retail projects. The delivery of flexible finance solutions is a major strength of the business and these solutions are designed to generate strategic advantages for customers. Products offered include: development finance that may not require customer equity to be tied up; mezzanine finance; joint venture funding coupled with risk sharing structures; land loan development planning facilities; and investment finance that may not require principal amortisation. “To date, our business has been largely sourced from opportunities in the south of England,” said Mr Gray. “The establishment of the new office based in Manchester will give the Division greater visibility in northern England and hopefully allow it to secure market share in the region as a result.” The loans generated will be originated through the Manchester office of Macquarie Bank Limited and booked by the Bank at its headquarters in Sydney, Australia.
