Macquarie invites you to an education edge seminar with two leading experts in the field of portfolio construction to tackle the topic of optimisation and using optimisers within a portfolio management process. Many portfolio managers use optimisers to create new portfolios or to rebalance existing ones but do the advantages of doing so outweigh the potential pitfalls?

Our two speakers will discuss a wide range of issues, focusing particularly on their extensive experience of using optimisation techniques and some of the latest advances in the field that they think add value in the real world. We aim to make the session as interactive as possible and welcome open discussion between the speakers and the audience.

Our two speakers are Professor Raman Uppal, who is Professor of Finance at the London Business School, and Dr. Sebastián Ceria, president and CEO of Axioma, Inc.

The event will be of interest to anyone involved in portfolio management, both those who are already using optimisation techniques and those considering their options.
