Macquarie Power Income Fund Declares April 2006 Cash Distribution

TORONTO  – Macquarie Power & Infrastructure Income Fund (TSX: MPT.UN –“MPT”, the “Fund”) today declared a cash distribution for the month of May 2006 of $0.08333 per trust unit. The distribution will be paid on June 30, 2006 to unitholders of record at the close of trading on May 31, 2006.

A distribution of $0.08333 per unit will also be paid on June 30, 2006 to holders of Class B Exchangeable Units of MPT LTC Holding LP, an indirect subsidiary entity of the Fund, of record on May 31, 2006.
