In mid-2007, University College Dublin (UCD) commenced a competitive process for the development of 13.93 hectares of its Belfield campus. The site, four kilometres from Dublin city centre, offers a unique opportunity for a private partner to enter into a concession contract with UCD for the design, build, finance, maintenance and operation of student accommodation, retail, offices, a hotel and complementary campus facilities. Macquarie is acting as financial adviser and co-lead sponsor of The Greenfield Consortium that has been shortlisted for the project.
