Schools Bundle 2

On 20th May 2008 the National Development and Finance Agency published a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union for a PPP contract for the design, build, finance, and maintenance for the Second Bundle of the Schools PPP Programme. This bundle is expected to consist of six schools on five sites. The schools for this project are anticipated to comprise:

• Bantry Community College Co. Cork a 700 pupil post-primary school.
• Gaelscoil Bheanntrai, Co. Cork a 228 pupil primary schools sharing a campus with Bantry Community College.
• Abbeyfeale Community College, Co. Limerick will provide approximately 850 pupil places
• Kildare Town Community School, Co. Kildare to provide approximately 1000 pupil places
• Wicklow Town Community College, Co. Wicklow will provide approximately 1000 pupil places
• Athboy Community School, Co. Meath will provide approximately 950 pupil places

Macquarie is acting as the lead sponsor and financial advisor of the MPFI consortium which includes two of Irelands leading contractors; John Sisk & Son Limited and Pierse Contracting Limited, acting as design and build contractors and equity sponsors.
