The board of MIIF is responsible for the overall management of MIIF. The current directors of the MIIF board are:
John Roberts (chairman) is an executive director of Macquarie Bank, Joint Head of Macquarie Corporate Finance and the global head of the Infrastructure and Specialised Funds division. John joined Macquarie Bank in 1991 and is now joint head of Macquarie Corporate Finance and the global head of the Bank's Infrastructure and Specialised Funds division. John is also on the boards of the Macquarie Infrastructure, Airports, Media and Communication funds, as well as the international Canadian, US and UK entities. John has a law degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand;
Robert Andrew Mulderig is chairman of the Board of Woodmont Trust Company Ltd, a licensed Bermuda Trust company and Woodmont Management Company Ltd. He also serves as a non-executive director of Macquarie Infrastructure Group International Limited and director of the Bank of N.T Butterfield and Son Ltd, Hamilton, Bermuda and is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Bermuda Stock Exchange;
Michael Hamer is president and chief executive officer of Camford Atlantic Ltd, a Bermudian company providing risk management, investment and financial advice to companies within and outside Bermuda. He received his Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1972 and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and a D. Phil in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Oxford in 1977;
Heng Chiang Meng (deputy chairman) currently sits on various boards in Singapore and Australia, including Econ International Limited, Keppel Land Limited, LKN-Primefield Limited, Orchade Parade Holdings Ltd, Thakral Corporation Limited, Garratt’s Limited, Jurong Port Private Limited, Singapore Environment Council and National Environment Agency. He received his BBA (Hons) degree from the University of Singapore in 1970.
Gregory Osborne (alternate to John Roberts) has more than 20 years experience in the banking and finance industry. He joined Macquarie in 1992 after working for Security Pacific Australia Limited for eight years. Prior to that, he worked for Price Waterhouse for four years where he practised as a chartered accountant specialising in the finance and insurance industries. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales in 1981 and Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in 1994.
Manager
Macquarie Infrastructure Management (Asia) Pty Limited (MIMAL) is MIIF’s sole and exclusive manager pursuant to a Management Agreement.
MIMAL is a member of the Macquarie Bank Group which, together with its associated entities worldwide, is a global investment bank headquartered in Australia with over 6,000 employees in 23 countries as at 31 March 2005.
MIMAL is part of the Macquarie Bank Group’s Infrastructure and Specialised Funds (ISF) division which, through special purpose management companies, manages over A$25 billion (S$32 billion) of funds as at 31 March 2005 on behalf of retail and institutional investors.
Principal officers of MIMAL
The principal officers of MIMAL, responsible for the day-to-day management of MIIF, are drawn on an non-exclusive basis from ISF and will initially include:
Gregory Osborne, as managing director of MIMAL, will have the overall responsibility for the management of MIMAL. His primary responsibility will be to carry out the strategic plans and policies as established by the board of directors;
Stephen Mentzines, as chief operating officer, will oversee compliance, risk management, business planning and commercial management;
Lisa Fraser, as chief financial officer, will manage all financial aspects of MIIF and is responsible for financial reporting, distribution planning, cash management, and financial risk management’
Christine Williams, as legal and regulatory compliance manager, will over see legal and regulatory compliance issues and is also MIMAL’s company secretary
Stuart Green, as investor relations manager, will oversee communications to the investment community.
