MACQUARIE GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE TOTAL RETURN FUND INC. QUARTERLY INVESTOR CONFERENCE CALL

NEW YORK, September 10, 2008  – Macquarie Global Infrastructure Total Return Fund Inc. (NYSE: MGU) (the "Fund") today announced that Mr. Justin Lannen, Co-Portfolio Manager of the Fund, will be hosting a quarterly investor conference call on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 4:15pm ET.

During the call, Mr. Lannen will discuss the Fund's results for the quarter ended August 31, 2008. Mr. Lannen will also describe some of the key investment characteristics of infrastructure assets and provide his perspective on current market conditions.
