MACQUARIE GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE TOTAL RETURN FUND INC. QUARTERLY INVESTOR CONFERENCE CALL

NEW YORK, March 12, 2009 – Macquarie Global Infrastructure Total Return Fund Inc. (NYSE: MGU) (“MGU” or “Fund”) announced today that Mr. Justin Lannen, Co-Portfolio Manager of the Fund, will be hosting a quarterly investor conference call on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 4:15pm ET.

During the call, Mr. Lannen will discuss the Fund’s results for the quarter ended February 28, 2009. Mr. Lannen will also describe some of the key investment characteristics of infrastructure assets and provide his perspective on current market conditions.
